Gosh! That sounds like the bug right there. On my Bookport, which came from APH in July of 2004, and which is running firmware V2.1, pressing D E and F does not save the time and date. So if this command saves the time and date for some users, it's either controlled by the firmware revision, or the revision of the Bookport. If it turns out to be a Bookport hardware specific feature, then it's probably pretty easy to determine whether or not you're susceptible to the command of death by noting the serial number of the Bookport itself. Can APH, in turn, provide a range of serial numbers which are vulnerable to this problem? Or, rather, would APH be willing to do so? If it is a firmware specific feature, which version of firmware are you running? -Brian
