[bookport] problems are multiplying.P

I tried to install an older version of the firmware, but I got the message
the BP's filter didn't support that file type. Then I got the message the
memory card's ID was bad. I don't know whether to believe that or not, the
BP's announcements are so mixed up. In this case, I hope the Bookport is
lying to me! The way things are going, I hate to swap out the card. I
don't want to ruin a good one.
