I use IC3's and have had no problems. Wonder what would happen if you did a
reset while the alkalines are installed?

Subject: [bookport] problem with book port batteries
a problem has just cropped up on my bookport. wondering if anyone else had this. it may coincide with the new firmware. not sure.
for months, i have used re-chargeable batteries with no problems. a few days ago, when batteries ran out, i tried putting in reliable rechargeable batteries that were definitely charged. the book port got no power at all. when i put in regular non-rechareable batteries, it worked fine. when those alkaline batrteries died, i again tried re-chargeable batteries. it is dead. i tried with several sets of re-chargeables with the same results. I tested the re-chargeable batteries elsewhere to confirm they are properly charged.
any ideas?
