Rob, I did a chkdsk /r which checks every sector on the card. When it began checking free space, I got the message that "an unspecified error has occurred," and it through me back to DOS. So, I guess it's the card. Should I try reformatting it? Delayed write failures are a serious low-level error generated by Windows. It is strange that you are getting the same problem on two different machines. Here's what I suggest: 1. Replace the batteries. 2. Disconnect other USB devices. 3. Try a different card. Your card could have a problem at that particular block. Rob Meredith >>> Don.Barrett@xxxxxx 06/23/05 03:04PM >>> On home and at work, part two of the audible book Frankenstein by Dean Koontz consistently locks up the bookport. I have 293 mb free, the file is 70 mb long, and I consistently get a delayed write failed, card full message and the bookport is locked up tight as a drum so that batteries must be removed to be reset. APH, can you try sending this file to a bp to see if it is moi or not? Thanks. Don
