yes, i've done this several times. I've transfered the file, and then put
it on my BrailleNote.

Nothing is stopping you from typing in grade two as long as you understand what you are doing. This would only be useful if you wanted to copy the file back to your pc and emboss it. For example if you typed the THE sign the bookport would say it is an exclamation. You would have to rename the file on your PC to a .brf to make the embossor happy.
