If you are already a Newsline subscriber:
go to, www.nfbnewsline.org and click on the "newspapers by e-mail" link. On
that page you will find a subscription form, fill that out and make sure the
checkbox is checked which works as your electronic signature that says you
agree not to share the files with anyone else, etc. Be sure and read the
privacy policy/membership agreement.
anyway, then be sure and call in and add the papers you want to receive via
e-mail to your favorites list.
Then, within a couple of days, you'll start receiving whatever is in your
favorites via e-mail.
I gather there are a few exceptions where newspapers have not given them
permission to do this. So, if you don't get anything in several days, you
should contact NFB and see if your paper happens to be in that list.

Enjoy,
Richard

How does one go about receiving newsline files by email?

Hi Denise,

I just did it with the New York Times from Sunday, December 10, which is
particularly large. It worked fine.

When you point the transfer software to the folder, the only file that will
show up is the nl.opf file. Make sure it is selected and hit alt+s and it
should work.

Now, on some papers there has been an error in the code. They think they
have it fixed, but try using the Victor software or the book wizard to read
that same paper. If you cannot read it with them, then the file has a
problem.

If you can read it with other programs, then something may be going on with
the Book Port transfer.

I would try another paper to see. But, the only file you need to have
highlighted is the .opf file.

Good luck,

Richard

Subject: [bookport] newsline files

hello all, i receive the newsline newspapers by e-mail. these files are in
daisy format. i tried for the first time this morning to transfer them to
the bookport. i put each newspaper in its own folder. i noticed the file
edit field in the bookport transfer tool listed only the file with the .nl
extension. in any event, then i highlighted that folder as well as the daisy
line in the bookport transfer tool. however, when i pressed the send, the
bookport told me it could not transfer the file. was i suppose to select all
of the files or is the bookport transfer tool suppose to automatically send
them. thanks.
