Hi Bronwyn and welcome to the list! Yes, playing MP3 music files is no 
problem for the bookport. The PDF files are not directly supported, however. 
You may be able to export them to text files, which then, of course, can 
easily be sent to the Bookport. Nice to see another kiwi among us. I'm in 
Dunedin.
