Barbara: I would just try it again. Connect to the Internet, connect your Book Port, let the software open, hit Alt+O for Options, move to the Advanced tab, and select the Firmware Updates button. If you get an error, you probably need to look to your firewall for the answer. Rob Meredith >>> shawnee@xxxxxxxx 05/22/05 08:42PM >>> Hello Following the directions for the new software and firmeare when I plugged in my Bookport I was able to get the download. when it was complete I was asked to reboot my computer which I did. when I plugged the Bookport in again I got one of those messages which says it is recommended not to allow this connection so I just hit okay and didn't pay much attention except that at the last moment when it is too late of course I thought I heard it say Bookport.exe If I click on Bookport transfer on my desk top and look at the version it is the new version. It is not on my Bookport as that still reads 01.02 and I never heard anything through the headphones on the bookport as has been talked about heer on list. Can someone tell me what I did wrong and how to fix it? thanks Barbara
