The technology to make these cards is old enough that I don't think the brand makes much difference. I've just gone with good warrantees and have had good luck so far from, Kingston and another brand I can't remember now. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Benoit" <reb503@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, March 27, 2005 5:53 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: new flash card : No doubt that SanDisk is a quality product, but any brand CompactFlash with : the same specs should perform equally well. It's a question of reliability : and price. I asked previously about Kingston and got a negative response : from one person that had a bad experience with it. The warranty is the same : as SanDisk. I did purchase the Kingston because of the great price : differential. SanDisk 2GB Ultra II=$174.99, : Kingston 2GB Elite Pro=$111.00 after $20 rebate. Works well so far. Time : will tell. : See link below. : : http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=82239 : : Richard : Original Message ----- : From: "Otto Zamora" <8zamora@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> : To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> : Sent: Sunday, March 27, 2005 5:13 PM : Subject: [bookport] Re: new flash card : : : > Hello, : > Sand disc seems to work well, planning on getting a 2 gb card in June so : > that we can have more music than we can now put on what we have. : > : > Otto : > : > -----Original Message----- : > From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] : > On Behalf Of Steve : > Sent: Saturday, March 26, 2005 12:51 PM : > To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx : > Subject: [bookport] Re: new flash card : > : > I'm new on this list.
