I know nothing about which batteries have what kind of capacity. I know that
in today's modern age, there should surely be some type of battery that
could easily be purchased to replace a battery that needs to be charged.
Digital cameras are very small, and yet they can provide such an option.
As for my cell phone, I don't use a cell phone all day long continually
during training or at work. Since I don't use it continually it holds a
charge for days, not hours. Would you stand for a cell phone that only held
a charge a few hours and the battery would die even before a work day has
finished?
I also do not go to bed at night talking on a phone, so it can charge. I do,
however, like to read at night prior to falling asleep. I do not have a
place close to plug in a book reader while I'm in bed.
Therefore, if I use it all day long at work, or training, and want to relax
before bed by reading, when would you suggest I plug it in? Should I get up
from a sound sleep and plug it in? <smile>
Currently the old Bookport doesn't lose settings when changing batteries, so
I know that it can be done.
All this is beside the point. The Bookport Plus has already gone into
production, so we either buy or not.
As for me, I'm hoping their contract with the hardware company fades away
like the one with the old Bookport, and maybe they will rethink things
before they start producing a Bookport 3. <grin>

Those cell type batteries do not have enough capacity. Do you have a
cell phone? What do you do to avoid a dead battery when you need it most?
Charge the device when you do not use it. Lithium ion batteries can be
recharged at any time. Remember the NiCads?
A spare battery would work but will you lose settings when swapping?
Universal
chargers already exist that can take most batteries of this type.
