Marta and others - Thanks for jogging my inquiring mind with this message. I just ran a test here that I don't believe I've ever run before and you *do* have to have a CF card in the BP in order for the transfer program to come up. I removed the card from my BP and connected it to the computer and while I heard the two tones indicating a USB connection, the transfer program wouldn't open (even when I tried opening it manually from the Desktop) and eventually, I got the low tone that ordinarily indicates that the BP is connected, but that nothing is taking place. Thus, this may be the problem--be sure that there's a CF card in the BP before connecting it. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yerba Bruja Sent: Sunday, February 17, 2008 8:04 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: issues with book port not being see by windows XP Could it be that the bookport flashcard has somehow gotte damaged and a new one has to be put in?
