Well, for me, it was not being able to use the IPOD that resulted in my investing in the BP. I actually learned about it from the AUDIBLE.COM website while searching for IPOD equivalents. At first I thought paying all that money for a small amount of storage for the price was a real disadvantage, but I've found that if you don't need to carry your whole library or music collection with you everywhere, the BP is just fine. Just now I have 8 Audoble books and 200 songs on my 2Gb card and there's still room for more. - russ. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jeanette Beal To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, 25 August, 2006 18 08 Subject: [bookport] Re: i pod Yeah, plus it's easier to explain to my geek friends if I say "like an iPod for the blind" because they can understand that. And I do put music on it, just not much. It would appeal to ipod-lusters like me. - Jeanette On 8/25/06, Richard Fiorello <richkar1@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi; That is a good thought. They should perhaps consider market the bookport as an ipod for blind people. I realize this wouldn't sit well with some who are into serious literature but the fact remains the real i pods are almost impossible to use and the bookport is very usable.
