Isn't it the 1 3 D and F that does a hard reset?

Don,

I made the same mistake updating without using headphones.  I hit a key by
accident while the update process was still taking place.  I however have no
action or sound from hitting any key and cannot get the desktop to recognize
the BP.  Resetting and taking the batteries out does nothing.  I can hear
that the batteries are live when I remove them because I get a slight static
sound through the headphones.  I will call Monday.
