Well, after reading Don's message, a file with the .asx extension is a small text metafile rather than a play list, but it does a similar job as a play list, pointing to the location of the file to be played. It just points to the location of the actual file. I know this because I have to deal with these files when I try to listen to Paul Harvey News from his Web site. For some reason, my version of Media Player refuses to recognize this file type when I try to get the stream from the Web site, but, strangely enough, it works fine after I download the play list file and access it through My Computer. If you open the file in Notepad, you can see what file it is pointing to. I have modified the name of the file in these play lists from time to time to listen to a previous weeks news broadcast. I don't know if you will be able to get the actual audio or video file that's pointed to in the play list. If all else fails, you could stream the file and record it with one of the recording programs that have been discussed on this list. It doesn't seems to be support on any of the audio converters.
