Hello, The recorder is ripe for easy improvement. A little better microphone and/or a microphone jack. Software or firmware changes to allow adjustment of sample rates should add no cost. Possibly a relocation of the Microphone could improve quality without a major change. I cannot identify the reason for the poor recording quality. Under certain conditions, the recordings are nearly acceptable, but there is no real way to control these environmental variables. I love the Book Port. It is so well engineered, I cannot understand the poor recorder. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sandy Licht Sent: Sunday, February 04, 2007 10:56 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: feature suggestions if they are still taking them If you want fairly good recordings, buy an Olympas recorder. Or if you want top-notch digital recordings, then try the Edirol R09. At 07:29 PM 2/4/2007, Linda Davis wrote: >Don't forget, its main purpose is to read or listen to audio >material.
