I agree. I think that a Mic jack and the ability to increase the record quality are the bp's weakestpoints. However in my opinion another problem with the bp is the microphone and the fact that it only records at 11.025K quality. If they could make a setting that would allow users to change the quality, and an external microphone jack, it almost would be unbeatable. I certainly cannot think of a device the same size as the book port which could do anything even close to what that could do. If they're worried about the space on the cf cards, maybe they could make it encode into an mp3 file? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary Lee" <kb9zuv@xxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2007 6:55 PM Subject: [bookport] feature suggestions if they are still taking them > This would be my ultimate feature list to add to the bookport. > > 1. internal speaker. > 2. library of congress compatibility. > 3. ability to access the doubletalk speech for use as an external synth. > > Couple these features with those present in the bookport at present, and I > think you would have a nearly unbeatable device. > I know I'd sure buy one. > > > -- > No virus found in this outgoing message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.5.432 / Virus Database: 268.16.13/632 - Release Date: 1/16/2007 > 4:36 PM > > > > > > -- > Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.1.409 / Virus Database: 268.15.24/592 - Release Date: > 12/18/2006 > >
