Well you could just make it say dr instead of drive and just make it say st
instead of street or saint.

This isn't really a Book Port problem, per se, but a synthesizer issue.
There has been discussion in the past of incorporating a dictionary into the
BP similar to the dictionaries you can create in JAWS, but the problem would
still remain. How would you properly set things up so that the following
sentence came out correct:
Dr. Williams's office is located at the corner of Hillside Dr. and Fifth St.
in St. Petersburg.
