I think someone at APH should address this question, I can't imagine that it would save much in the way of batteries, remember that even though the unit is not beeping, if a key is pressed, it does "wake up" for about ten seconds. I prefer no lock beeps, but it is not because I expect to save batteries. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rusty Bourgoin Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 10:40 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] does no lock beep save batteries Hi Folks, will that save battery life, as I assume the beeping causes drainage? Is there potential harm to the unit if this is done? Thanks for any thoughts.
