Hi Simon and list!
I recall some discussion on this list several months ago. The jist of it is that folks weren't completlely uninstalling things before re-installing. Besides removing through control panel, you need to manually remove the folders. Then try re-instal,ling the software.

oh, and yes I did try installing the latest version. It does not work. I think some kind of aph component is missing from somewhere. I have said this already. I did not transfer it from one computer to the other. The two hard drives were and are in the same computer. It is a fujitsu laptop, and technically all the data should work There was no change of computers unless the data got corrupted on the old drive or something, in which case I should be able torepair it.

Something got hosed somewhere. As Loius suggests, run repair with the Windows cd. That may or may not work. The two computers may be alike but are they *exactly* alike other than the hard drive? My guess is no.
