Jim:

There could be several things going on here. First, does your unit play
the manual, already installed? If not, try changing batteries and/or
headphones. 

Second, you need to try a direct connection, as someone else suggested.
Also, if you have any other USB devices, such as scanners connected, try
disconnecting them and then try again.

Third, Try doing a reset with 2 plus b on the Book Port. You will need
to do this while not connected to the PC.  

Try reformatting the card with the 4 corner keys, or try a differend
card. 

If none of the above works, could you please tell us the name of your
computer, as found on the Computer Name page in the Control Panel. You
can obtain that information quickly, by pressing Windows key plus Pause,
which is the key on the far right of the Function keys. The information
obtained from there, will also be useful, assuming that nothing else
works.

Hello,
I just received my new bp, installed the transfer software, attached
the USB cable and The transfer program will not recognize the bp. Has
anyone else had this problem.
