Hi Lana and list:Overdrive offers nothing through NLS. Several libaries that are also part of the NLS system participate in the Overdrive run project, but that is not NLS.
Tune into Maihn Menu on ACB radio March 13th at 8 pm EST and you might find out along with the rest of us, if the new device currently being developed will do what you want.
Cheers, Dave----- Original Message ----- From: "lana" <lana5@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Does anyone know if or when bookport will be updated to read DRM protectedWMA files like the ones available from overdrive.com through NLS. It wouldreally be nice if these books could be read on book port, especially since there is such a lack of accable MP3 players out there. Book port has spoiled me. I don't like to be chained to my computer to read. too.----- Original Message ----- From: "Walt Smith" <walt@xxxxxxxxxx>To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2007 11:57 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: Bluetooth receiver linkLooks like the only shortcoming for many of us with this device is thefactthat the receiver requires a.c. power from a wall outlet. I know what Daveis looking for and don't think I've ever heard of a "tunable" or"trainable"receive-only unit with or without battery power. It does seem like itwouldalmost be a natural product, though.----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Spitz" <peterspitz101@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2007 9:19 AM Subject: [bookport] Bluetooth receiver link There is a device called a Zoom HiFi that plugs into any MP3 player and sneds it to a stereo. Here's the link.
