Hi John,

I use the system that Larry described in one of his podcasts.

In the Bookshare site, after choosing the title, I select the Daisy format.

When you are asked if you want to save or open the book, choose open. The book will be opened and when done a page will come up asking if you want to unpack the book. This is still on the Bookshare site. Enter" u" and the program will ask for your Bookshare password.
It will then ask for a folder where you want to store the book. I always choose a folder I call book download. The unpack program asks if you want a HTMl version I always say no. I answer no to the next questions and since I am still in the Bookshare site search for any other books. When you want to transfer the book to the Bookport, just plug it in using the transfer software program go to the book download folder. All the book titles you have downloaded will be listed. Highlight the ones you want to transfer and hit enter. If you want to put certain books in a certain folder choose the folder before you choose the books.

I have downloaded nearly a hundred books from Bookshare and have had no problems transferring them to the Bookport using this method.

A while back I joined book share and down load them to the book port. my problem is when the book is unpacked how do you get it to the book port for me some times it does not work or it says file filter not found I most times download brf versions. I have used kerzweild to open books as well but another question when I use kurzweild to send a book to book port it does not put in to a folder even when I have the folder open and the book port connected. also how do you move a book from one place on your card into a folder. thanks for all your help.
