Absolutely right. In fact I have a tape recorder that has used 2 rechargeable batteries around a hundred times, with no problems with the battery compartment loosening up. Likewise my Book Port uses NIMH that have been replaced a couple of dozen times by now with no discernible problems to the battery housing. This argument seems ludicrous to me.
