[bookport] battery charger

Hello,
Some days ago some people talked about batteries and chargers. I would like to
buy one, but when I went to the store I found that there are several. I even
saw one that had a USB CONNECTION. I wonder why a battery charger has a USB
connection. Do you know?
Would anyone please tell me what is the best to buy? Will I need sighted
assistance to use it?
