You cannot convert the files with Roxio. You need a program that will not
only extract the files, but convert them. The Bookport transfer software will
not do this. You need a program like CDEX

So, you extracted the files using Cdex and they became wav files and then
when you sent them to the bookport, Bookport converted them to MP3 files? Just
want to make sure I understand. I have Roxio so can I use that to extract
files or is Cdex better.

Actually, you do need to use a program like CDEx to extract your files
from
CD, but even if they're .wav files, the Book Port automatically converts
them to .mp3 format upon sending them. Currently, I have a copy of Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in audio loaded on the Book Port, and
it
is using less than 150 megabytes.
