The cable that comes with Book Port is a standard cable. Below, you
will find the specs from the User's Manual. Perhaps your dad could use
those when he gets the cable from Radioshack.
4 ' USB A Plug to 5-Pin Mini-B cable
We had one instance where the person thought they got the wrong cable,
but there was a piece from the computer that had broken off into the
cable. Once it was removed, the cable looked just like any other.
Could this be the case, since it worked on the laptop earlier in the
week? Food for thought.

Hello. I have another question. I said earlyer that the cable for
my bookport would not not fit in any of my pcs. Is it possible to
just go to radioshack and by a usb cable that will work in the
bookport? My dad does not seem to think it is possible. if someone
could straton me out on this it would help.
I should also point out that for pamila. The cable does not fit in
either oof my computers. I tried to contact aph about having the
cable replaysed with a standered cable. see my message above for the
detals.
