I just today bought at Circuit City a sandisc 2Gb card for $119, I got an
in-store discount of $12, and a mail-in rebate of $18. I used the savings to
buy a card reader.

May only be today, thogh.

new egg and zip zoom fly both both often have prices worth examining, but
temporarily it's not to forget that the book port does come with a card. It's
not the largest card, but it is usable as a temporary means until you buy a
bigger one. Honestly I very rarely play any audio files on the book port, so
while I bought a bigger card I didn't end up needing it much, so now that card
is soly used with my Pac mate which thankfully uses the same type of card.
I'm just saying this because I know you mentioned having a lot of books from
web braille and bookshare. If you're sticking to those two formats you will fit
plenty, and I mean plenty, of books on the smaller card which comes with the
book port.
I got my book port a year and a half ago with a 64 mb card, and I hold dozens
and dozens, if not closer to a hundred files on it at a time. Now my coworker
just got one and it came with a 256mb card.
Now, if you plan to listen to a lot of audio files, well that is deffinately
worth buying a bigger card soon because those files are bigger and you'll end
of having to send only a little at a time which is sometimes annoying, or if
traveling sometimes impossible.
Finally you mentioned looking at circuit city. They may or may not have a
deal going right now, but when I buy more cards for my Pac mate I do look at
their store, or at least at their store online, and typically I find better
prices online at other places. I'd say keep shopping and maybe look at the link
Walt sent earlier. It does a pretty good comparison from shop to shop for you
so you don't have to look as much.

You all have given me a lot to ponder while I am waiting for my BP to wing
its way from Kentucky to my home in northern Utah. I saw some good deals for
CF cards at Circuit City, but I am going to shop around. Thank you!
