This is not what I was told by Audible technical management when I was writing the documentation that referenced Audible. I was told that you could have up to 3 computers and no more, but that the number of devices activated on each individual computer was unlimited. I went over and over this specific item because it differed from what everyone believed to be the case. While this hasn't been recently, I have had as many as 5 devices activated on one computer at one time. Perhaps they've changed their policies, but I also know that most of the telephone support personnel were never very clear, themselves, on this issue and they'd tell you things that simply weren't accurate because they confused the 3 computer limit with 3 _devices_. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Benoit" <reb503@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 7:14 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: activating an audible account on the BP Walt, You are correct about the Bookports not being counted at all. You are also correct about being able to use each account on three computers. Each account. however, is limited to three other activated portable devices and three desktop players. You can activate and deactivate as many devices as you have as long as there are only three at one time. I currently have three accounts that I just called about, in order to pay off and cancel two of them. This is from Audible Customer Service just a few minutes ago. For anyone that is contemplating opening a second account to take advantage of a discount on a device I would recommend an annual payment to get the equivalent of 12 months for the cost of 10. Amazon.com was selling iPods for about 15% less than Audible with the samesubscription requirements. There is no sales tax or shipping. Richard
