There is already a percentage feature in the BookPort. How difficult = would it be to redesign the BookPort so it had a describer key? I = remember wishing there was one when I first got my unit, but I got used = to the layout extremely quickly because it is very logical. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Queen Family Sent: Tuesday, January 11, 2005 1:24 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: a feature request Just give new users a KEY DESCRIBER Key and maybe a "Where Am I" key to tell what page or in the case of audio per cent of the way you are through the book. By the way, five states and the Library of Congress are running a Beta of downloadable talking books. They are using OVerdrive with WMA format, so BP may need to expand its available formats. The Bookport has been updated numerous times, both the software and the firmware; and each and every time, new features have been added. A pronunciation dictionary would be great, I simply doubt if the onboard memory could support it. =3D20 -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Arrigo Sent: Monday, January 10, 2005 9:26 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: a feature request James, that's simply not true. You seem to take a statement disagreeing with something as a shoot down. You seem to think that people who want to keep the product focused on it's purpose, to read and play files do not want any new features, which is incorrect. ----- Original Message -----=3D20 From: "James Jolley" <james.jolley1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, January 08, 2005 7:40 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: a feature request > Hi, > > Don't bother requesting features you end up being shot down for them.=20 > You'll learn > > -James- > ----- Original Message -----=3D20 > From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <igucukoglu@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Saturday, January 08, 2005 12:23 PM > Subject: [bookport] a feature request > > > > Hi. > > I am really getting to know my book port and am simply amazed at how much > > it can do.
