You shouldn't check for and recover bad sectors. The flash card is not a
physical device, and thus has no sectors. I don't know why it never
completes; this is probably the same reason why Defrag never completes.

whether I should check 'Attempt recovery of bad sectors.  The scndisk
never 
completes when that box is checked even if I've just formatted my card
and 
it's blank.  Could people please try this and give me some info?
