That's true, and even if you use the d e f command, you have to reset
the clock.  
I must admit that the Bookport is the strangest device when it comes to
setting time and date.
I could, for example, set the date to Monday, February 31, 2008.

It keeps good time, but if you're changing batteries a lot it stops
doing 
so.
