There must be some other condition causing it to be blocked. The only work around at this time is to either unblock each time or turn UAC off. Maybe we could chat offline or on the phone and see if we might be able to find a resolution to your situation. Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nolan Crabb" <ncrabb@xxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, September 24, 2007 10:27 AM Subject: [bookport] Using BP Transfer with Vista I received some instructions from APH on how to unblock the BP transfer software in Vista, but it appears you have to run this every time you boot the machine! If that's true, it's hardly worth doing. Is anyone else using the transfer software on a Vista machine, and if so, how are you handling the fact that Vista constantly blocks the BP transfer software from running at startup until you go in and unblock it each time. Is there a way we can get thissoftware classified by Microsoft as permitted? I'd love to just ignore it, but I keep getting messages every so often that Vista has blocked some programs from running even if I'm not using the transfer software at the time. If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know. Of course, I can go on using the transfer software on my old XP machine, but the new one is exponentially faster, which obviously makes it the more attractive one to run the BP software. -- No virus found in this incoming message.
