I'll bet you're right. Still, I wish the external beeper could sound off when we start recording memos so that we can know the recorder has been activated without resorting to headphones.

Eric,
I use a Bookport to take notes during some meetings. And, wearing headphones at a meeting is well, not acceptable, depending on where you work. So, since we already have a quick-and-easy key lock combination, this probably would actually reduce the functionality
