[bookport] Unlocking RFB&D Books

I received my authorization disk from RFB&D today so that I could download
books onto the Bookport.
Trying to go through the registration process, it was not clear to me how to
obtain the "Hardware Fingerprint".
I put the disk in and it asked for my name (is this my user name, user ID
number, e-mail address or what?). Then it wanted a key (is this my pin,
user-ID or what?).
This was confusing and there were no instructions.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
