I have never heard of magazines available from NLS in an audio format which
can be downloaded. Is this a beta project or are such magazines generally
available to NLS users? If it is in beta, any estimates on when this might
be available to all NLS users?

Hi Michael and list:

You need to unpack the magazine, using the NLS unpack program. When
unpacked, the archive will decompress into its own folder. Go into that
folder and locate the opf file. With the cursor on the opf file, press the
context key. On most desktop machines, the context key is the key between
the right control and right windows keys. In the context menu, select send
to. Then in the resulting menu, select bookport. If you have the Bookport
connected when you do this, you will begin to hear beeping almost
immediately as the transfer software prepares the file. After it beeps for
several minutes, you will notice that the beeping rises in pitch. The rising
pitch is telling you that the file is being transferred to the bookport.
Eventually, you will hear the happy completion sound indicating that the
file has been transferred successfully. At this point, you can disconnect
and begin to enjoy your magazine.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Dave
