Hold down the 1 + 3 + d + f keys all at the same time. Then listen for the prompt to repeat that command. Then wait and listen and it will tell you when your reformatted. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Becky Barnes Sent: Thursday, December 01, 2005 19:19 To: 'bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [bookport] Re: Uh oh, I think I've got trouble I do put things in folders. How do I reformat the cards in the bookport? -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of buhrow@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, December 01, 2005 10:17 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: Uh oh, I think I've got trouble Oh, yes, this message means your CF card is corrupted some way. If you can put it in a separate card reader on your computer and run scandisk on it, or connect your Bookport to the computer, and check the "check disk integrity" box in the bookport transfer utility. If either of those two operations doesn't fix the problem, and you can afford to lose what's on the card, try reformatting the card in the Bookport, and letting the transfer utility reinstall the help files. Then you should be able to recopy your books to the newly formatted card. As to the reason you got in this state in the first place, I'm not sure, but it's possible you have too many files in the root directory of the card. Do you put your files in subdirectories on your Bookport? If not, I strongly recommend it. :) -Brian On Dec 1, 9:43pm, Becky Barnes wrote: } Subject: [bookport] Uh oh, I think I've got trouble } I finished listening to a file on the plane today and the next thing I knew } I was gett this message that says something like "FS memory, no dborj } structures".
