I had that problem the other day, but I shut down windows, and checked if Bookport was in lock mode, which it was, unlocked it, and when I brought back Windows, the computer recognized it as a usb mass storage device. I was also able to proceed with my book transfer functions. I alos have windows xp.

The operating system is Windows XP. I'm able to install the software with no problem, but when I plug the Book Port into the USB port, I get the message that the USB device is not recognized. I tried all my USB ports. Any ideas??
