In terms of raw transfer speed, many times faster. any improvement in
speed for USB 2 would, of course, be tempered by the speed of the card and
the speed of the transfer program.

yes that would be cool! I have usb2 on my computer. Oh and for those of you who don't have usb2 and want it you can buy a pci card that goes inside your computer that will give you usb2 functionality.

In this regard I have an additional question/suggestion. I know that there are cables which would allow attaching other size USB devices to the existing USB port size on the BookPort. If someone has the right cable would it be possible to attach a thumb / jump drive to this port. If not, I would like to suggest this as a possible second port for reading data from on the BookPort. It would be particularly nice to have files on a thumb drive and be able to use them on a computer and on the BookPort without having to move them to a flash memory card.

Greetings, I have a question with respect to Bookport and it's USB Connection. After reading through a variety of material on the Bookport, I am under the impression that the device still has a USB type 1 connection. Assuming this is correct, has there been any talk about upgrading from a type one to a type 2? I am curious to know when Bookport will be available with USB 2 capabilities. Thanks for taking the time to read my inquiry.
