Peter: Is it the firmware you're having trouble with or the software? You might try doing the software by itself first, without the Book Port connected. If your automatic updates is turned on, it should do it automatically. If not, you can do it through the Options Menu, under the advanced tab. Once you've done the software, you should be able to download the firmware. If the firmware is where you're having trouble, try using a different flash card or reformat the one you are using. I have updated all the previous firmware and somftware updates, plus the transfer tool updates. When I received my email notice from A.P.H., I tried to install this august update, and received a message stating "operation incomplete, general failure". I was connected to the net, so I was not suffering from communication difficulties. I hope I am not alone with this experience.
