Sorry--I didn't see your next message, so I see that you're transferring 
text files only. Is there any possibility that you're exceeding the capacity 
of the root directory on the CF card? I no longer place anything except the 
BP manual directly into the root, but have folders for everything.

What kind of file are you transferring when the apparent freeze occurs? If,
for example, you've been transferring a bunch of text files and then an HTML
file comes up, I'd expect a long, long delay, although not an actual freeze.
I've personally made it a policy never to send an HTML file directly because
of the horribly long time it takes to convert it, but to display it in
Internet Explorer, then save it as a text file and send _that_ to the BP.

I'm having problems with my Book Port Transfer software. It transfers
several files making the beeping sound to indicate file transfer. Then after
a while It stops making the beeping sounds and still transfers. Then during
a transfer the computer freezes. The only thing that I can do at that point
is disconnect the BP and turn the computer off. Has anyone else been having
this problem?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the BP transfer software.
I also reset the operating system for the BP.  I'm still having the same
problem.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
