Hi Scott,

When I first got my BP, I had exactly the same comment/question. Tech
support had exactly the same answer. Now, I don't even notice it. After
awhile, you listen to what is being read rather than how it is being read.
So, read on...

Subject: [bookport] Synth audio out put

Hello yall,
I am new to the list. I received my bookport on Wednesday. I am
kind of concerned about the sound of the synthesizer. The synthesizer
sounds kind of like a radio that is not completely on the right station.
When the bookport speaks there is some static in the background. This only
occurs when the bookport reads text. I called tech support and the fella
told me that the voice sounds fine. I read a lot of digital audio books,
with both a computer, and braillenote. They do not have this sound. My
question is am I just being to critical. Is this just the way the bookports
synthesizer sounds?
Scott
