I would rather see a direct microphone plug rather than a USB microphone
which might require your microphone to be USB, and/or more work for the
processor

Actually, I think there should be a few more settings. Settings such as a
stopwatch, if the bookport can handle it, and maybe some more settings such
as, maybe, being able to connect something such as a USB microphone, if
people liked recording, or maybe even, (this is wayyyy in the future), a
USB-connectable braille display. I think this would be neat because if
people just wanted to read and stil wanted or had to listen to something
else (people talking, etc etc), then they could mute speech and use braille,
with out the necesity of needing headphones or speakers.
