There are some people out there whose crusade it is to let us know every
time a message thread goes off-topic. And this isn't a bad thing: it's
true, we do go off-topic from time to time. But may I suggest that, if
you want to be a charter member of the Topic Police, simply replying to
a message that no longer has a suitable message and asking the totally
rhetorical question of what it has to do with the subject line does not
help? What you are in effect doing is creating yet a third topic of
conversation using the same incorrect subject line as the second, and
the same subjectline as the third. May I respectfully suggest that if
you want to encourage appropriate posting from others, one way to not
gain respect is to post inappropriately about inappropriate posting.
