I am not much of a speed junkie either with audio or etexts.
If it is a good novel, well narrated, iI agree with your hubby -- and in
some ways, I don't want the book to end.
If I were a student, on the other hand, I suspect I would respond
differently.
I will compress RFB&D books and things like sermons, radio programs to
perhaps 20% or so to save some time; but double speed isn't pleasure
listening or reading in my book.
