Hi Sarah et al. Like Sarah, I don't use the memos feature, but not because
of sound quality. I've heard a number of folks complain about the poor
quality of the recordings, but if you'll listen to one of those book port
recordings on the PC, they aren't that bad. The poor quality which you
blame on Book Port's recording of memos is actually its playing of memos.
The recorded memos sound much, much better, along the lines of a tape
recorder's on-board microphone, when played from the PC. I think this has
to do with APH playing wave files via the doubletalk chip, and doubletalk
always played wave files this poorly.
