Apparently, there is a component on your system that is not getting updated properly, because those reverses are working fine on the tests we run. I everyone having this? Here is an easy way to tell. Type in notepad su6] and save it as c:\test.brf. Now open Book Port Transfer, point to that file, and hit alt+P to see the preview window. It should come out as suffer. >>> cfry@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sunday, August 27, 2006 7:53:55 PM >>> Hi, That's because the FF, GG, BB, etc are translated as nemeth code numbers. The bookport uses computer braille. You probably will not see this change. Hello everyone. I have the 2.3 firmware and associated transfer software update. I was disappointed to note that there still seems to be a bug in the reverse translator. When reading .brf files which have been transferred to the bookportsome letter combinations still do not get properly uncontracted. For example: 1. Suffer is read as su6er by the bookport; 2. Robber is read as ro2er; 3. Dagger, difference, and other words are also not handled properly. I passed on a list of the problems some time ago and hoped that all would be corrected on this update, but I still have the problem. Has anyone else seen this? norm
