Great questions.
The www.aph.org/tech/bpx_setup.exe is the released version of the
firmware. There was a user who had the beta, and he wanted to revert to
the previous, released revision.
2nd, no, you will not get notified about betas by doing the steps you
outlined. And, if you do get notified about betas, let me know, and I
will show you how to stop that.

I have two dumb questions.
First, what is this link: You may download

Second, have I downloaded a beta version of the software and firmware
when I
simply tell BP transfer program to look for software and firmware
updates
(by selecting the appropriate buttons in the BP transfer program?
I don't think I want beta versions.
