Hello, Thank you very much, I will be having someone come to the house with some vision who can read the instructions for me. I know that one of the features is a timer on the charger to prevent over charging. Will stick to the kind of battery you suggested, and again thank you for your help. They tend not to have the memory problems associated with the older nickel cadmium and, hence, will recharge more times successfully. (2) Rechargable batteries have a mah rating. The higher the number, the longer they will run in your devices including the Book Port. Also, study the directions of your charger as far as how to charge batteries. These may impact the useful life of your batteries.
