Hi Everyone,

I don't currently own a Book Port but I am planning on purchasing one in the
next month or two. I have a couple questions about the Book Port. I am a
management accountant and I am studying to obtain the Certified Management
Accountant (CMA) designation. In my work and in my study, I often read
documents that require frequent line by line or word by word review and so the
responsiveness of the Book Port is of grate interest to me. How responsive is
the Book Port as compared to JAWS when reading Word Documents, html, txt, and
such? Do large files effect the responsiveness much? I understand that it
probably wouldn't be quite as responsive as JAWS but I hate sluggish speech so
I am hoping that it is pretty responsive. Also, as I understand it, you have to
have some sort of key in order to read RFD&B AudioPlus books on the Book Port.
How does this work? Do you install the key, from a disk, using the PC? Do you
install the key once and forget it or do you have to install it on each flash
card that contains a RFD&B book?

By the way, I have ben on this list for a couple days and I find it quite
informative even though I don't yet have a Book Port. I am impressed with how
involved APH seams to be with helping its beta testers and regular users. I am
also impressed with how all of the users on this list seam to be so friendly
and so eager to help each other. I am looking forward to getting everyone's
feedback.

Thanks,

Scott
