Hi list! Wanted to thank all who answered this query. I don't need to learn computer Braille as I already know it. While I use a standard PC keyboard for writing. a Braille keyboard means Contracted Braille to me. I suspect I'll just have to try it and see how it goes. If I find it useful, then I'll investigate adding feet to improve stability, etc. But as Jerry mentioned in a message yesterday, it would be more important to hope the energy would be placed on making sure the features we already have work reliably rather than adding new ones.
